Marvin and Gentry w/Badgergrass
Saturday, 04/30/2016

Influenced by such great songwriters as Simon & Garfunkel, Lennon and McCartney, Crosby Stills Nash and certainly Young, the duo of Ken Marvin and Brian Gentry, both from Kentucky, have been writing and recording together since the late 1980’s.

Marvin & Gentry plied their songwriting craft with live performances in college auditoriums across the country in the ‘80’s where the duo found acceptance of the Marvin & Gentry melodious style and spirit-filled message to wider audiences. It was the discovery by Dan Peek of the band, AMERICA, that would lead to a collaboration of the duo’s next four recordings and the formation of the Christian-rock band, PEACE. Peek, who had a string of hits with AMERICA, found in Marvin & Gentry a kindred spirit and recorded two of their songs on his solo record titled Crossover. The hit song "I Will Not Be Silent" went on to make Peek’s Greatest Hits. Soon after, Marvin & Gentry released their first recording, Safe Harbour

With Guests: BADGERGRASS:  a bluegrass/country song band with harmony, originals, old and new covers. It is comprised of talented Aaron Blake on guitar, bass and vocals; James Marker on banjo, guitar, and vocals; Molly Summers on guitar and vocals and John Abbott on fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, or "whatever instrument happens to be near by" and vocals. We have been told our sound is unique and like old time radio.

JEAN WATSON w/Alicia Michelle
Saturday, 05/21/2016

Internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter and classically trained violinist Jean Watson began her career as a Christian recording artist after having experienced the depths of brokenness and depression. It was her own brokenness that infused her music with such beauty and compassion.

She has recorded seven albums to date including her latest CD, “Steady My Gaze” featuring Grammy nominated producer Billy Smiley, guitar virtuoso Phil Keaggy, and John Ellis of ‘Tree63’.

Jean’s musical style is eclectic and features an abundance of celtic-infused violin and her signature haunting vocals.

ALSO: ALICIA MICHELLE:  is a 18-year-old musical prodigy from the northeastern Wisconsin area. The second of six children in her family, she began studying music in a Suzuki violin program at the age of four, when she also began taking piano lessons from her mom. At age six she began learning to play the mountain dulcimer and the clarinet (using a smaller-sized clarinet). By age seven she was an advanced player of the violin, mountain dulcimer, and clarinet and was composing her own music.  See more info HERE!

Jordan Feliz
Friday, 06/17/2016

Jordan Feliz's debut project, Beloved, brings the rich influence of 70's sensibilities into a modern pop context. Intentionally constructing uncluttered tracks free of production tricks and excessive instrumentation, Jordan instead focused on arrangements that were designed to give the vocals center stage. The songs on the Beloved 10 song album are soul-influenced pop numbers, and the instruments present are articulate in their voicings and melodies, saying only as much as they need to.

"I'm a big melody guy," Jordan admits, "and musically 'The River' is my own personal happy place. It's a great driving groove that just feels good to sing. This Song has sat at the top of the charts for several months.

The Haining Family
Saturday, 06/18/2016

A unique blend of Gospel, Bluegrass, Old- Time, Yodeling, Southern Gospel, and Folk music. We call it "Front-Porch, Family- Style Music".

Our family has always bMike & Peggyeen musical. The kids started singing before they could talk. It seemed there was always music around our house. Dad and Mom sang on the worship team and the kids sang in Sunday School programs. It was just a way of life for us.

Peggy & Mike

We learned about bluegrass music at a local jam held by some frienOur Twinsds. They included us the first time we went, asking the kids if they wanted to sing. Everyone sang harmony for them, and when they forgot the words, the group filled in for them. They got to see that there was nothing intimidating about playing these instruments.

Ruth and Pearl - our Twins

So it was no surprJamesise that soon the kids started asking for their own instruments. James started on harmonica, and later shifted to guitar. Pearl picked up the harmonicas when James put them down. Ruth wanted to play fiddle (a.k.a. violin) since she was 6, so it was a natural fit for her. Grace loved to sing and soon learned to yodel. Dad got tired of sitting and listening as his children learned all this great music without him, so he got a mandolin so he could play and sing with them. Mom loved the autoharp and was hooked when a long-time player at the jam let her borrow his one afternoon.

James

At first, we just sang whatever we could learn - Gene Autry and Roy Rogers were our favorites. Later we learned some other familiar songs and then added a few hymns. Each was a little different. We met other families that sang bluegrass gospel music, and learned songs from them.

                                                                                              Grace

We Gracestarted adding our own touch to our songs, each one somewhat different. Some had more of a folk-song feel, others had more a hard-driving bluegrass touch. We tried a few southern gospel songs and quartet numbers, both with and without instruments, depending on how the song felt to us.

Eventually, we realized that no one musical genre fit us, so we did the only "normal" thing we could do: we created our own genre! Thus was born "Front-Porch Family-Style Music"!

RYANHOOD:  Named ‘Best Group/Duo’ in the 2014 International Acoustic Music Awards, acoustic-duo Ryanhood have performed more than 800 shows in 42 U.S. states over the past decade. They’ve shared stages with Jason Mraz, Matt Nathanson, Train, and Lifehouse.

DISCIPLE & Random Hero
Friday, 07/22/2016

Hard Rockers, Disciple is preparing to release a new CD, Long Live the Rebels.  The dedicated work ethic and sense of unity in the current Disciple lineup led to a set of songs written entirely in-house with no outside collaborations-- the first time this has been true of a Disciple album since 2008's Southern Hospitality.

The band will be recording the album in Nashville early this summer, working for the first time with producer Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Demon Hunter, Thousand Foot Krutch). "You hear this phrase thrown around the industry quite often: 'it's all about the songs.' And if that's true, then this album is one of the best that we've ever done," Young shares. "Because of that, we didn't want to take a chance on it. We wanted to have a producer that we respect that would do right by these songs. So that's why we asked Aaron Sprinkle."

Also Featuring:  RANDOM HERO: “To be light in the darkness…”
Active Rock band from Denver, CO.
